Aberdeenshire Health and Community Care Strategic Partnership strategy
The Aberdeenshire Health and Community Care Strategic Partnership is made up of senior managers from Aberdeenshire Council and NHS Grampian. The aim of the group is to work together to improve health and community care services for the people of Aberdeenshire. This strategy sets out the priorities and strategic direction for community care services for the next five years. The action plans set out how this will be achieved.
Living Independently
Ageing Well in Aberdeenshire
Aberdeenshire Council, NHS Grampian, the Third Sector (voluntary organisations) and private sector organisations are about to publish a ten year Joint Commissioning Plan for Older People 2013-2023 on the shape of older people services to come. A public consultation was held in November 2012 on the emerging strategy. The Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) was carried out in 2012 to summarise the likely needs of the older population, and inform the strategy.

The Ageing Well event, held in 2008 with older people and their carers, has been one of a number of ways we have asked older people and their carers for their views on how services should develop in the future. These views are taken into account in the strategy.
Service User Consultation - Home Care Service
Aberdeenshire Council commissioned research with people who receive a home care service. The main objectives of the survey were to find out people opinions of the service they received. The research was done by Lowland Market Research.
Aberdeenshire Council Telecare Project
Telecare is technological interventions, such as systems of sensors and alerts, that help people to be independent in their homes. The aim of the Aberdeenshire Telecare project was to provide telecare in North, Central and South Aberdeenshire. The initial focus of the project was to develop services for older people. Robert Gordon University was commissioned to evaluate the project.
A Place to Live - Accommodation Strategy for Adults with Learning Disabilities
A Place to Live is our accommodation strategy for adults with learning disabilities. It says what needs to happen for more people with learning disabilities to get a good place to live.
Protection and Support
Grampian Interagency Policy and Procedures for the Support and Protection of Adults at Risk of Harm
The supporting and protecting adults from harm policy and procedures were produced in response to the growing awareness of the range, level and frequency of harm towards adults. They were developed by the Grampian Adult Protection Working Group to provide a framework to enable appropriate recognition and response to situations where adults may be at risk of harm.
Aberdeenshire Adult Protection Committee
The Aberdeenshire Adult Support and Protection Committee is a group of senior managers from a range of agencies involved in the support and protection of adults at risk of harm.
Aberdeenshire Child and Family Protection Committee
The Aberdeenshire Child and Family Protection Committee is a multi-agency partnership responsible for child protection policy and practice across the public, private and wider third sectors in the Aberdeenshire area.
Providing Quality Services for People who are Abused or who are the Victims of Violence Strategy and Action Plan
This strategy and action plan is for all people who are abused or who are the victims of violence. It covers domestic abuse, community safety and violence at work.
Aberdeenshire Anti-bullying Strategy
Aberdeenshire's anti-bullying strategy gives advice and guidance to people working with adults with learning disabilities. The strategy was developed by a multi-agency group.

Carers' Charter
The carers' charter outlines the values, aims and standards that Aberdeenshire Council, the Aberdeenshire Community Health Partnership and the carers support organisations will achieve in its’ partnership with carers.
Carers' Strategic Outcomes Statement
The Aberdeenshire Carers' strategic outcome statements identify what Aberdeenshire Council, in partnership with NHS Grampian and relevant third sector organisations, is going to do to meet the needs of unpaid carers.
NHS Grampian Carers Information Strategy
This strategy identifies who are unpaid carers and makes sure they have the information and support they need. The Action Plan covers the identification of carers, provision of information, training and involvement of and consultation with carers.
A Carers Information Strategy group monitors the progress of the action plan's implementation. This group includes representatives from NHS Grampian, Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire Council, Moray Council and Third Sector organisations.
The Scottish Government made £822,000 over three years available to NHS Grampian to implement the strategy. This money has been used to increase staff awareness of the needs of unpaid carers , provide information and support in health care settings for carers, provide increased opportunities for training for carers and for consultation with carers.
Unpaid Carers Consultation
Aberdeenshire Council carried out a consultation with 200 carers, hosting three events. Carers were asked to complete a questionnaire. They were also given the opportunity to give their views through Voxur - an interactive video. Carers were asked to give their views on the carers' assessment and short breaks / respite care.
The feedback given by carers has been used to help develop a new style of carers' supported self assessment and a number of short breaks / respite care opportunities.

Grampian Brain Injury Strategy
The purpose of the Grampian brain injury strategy is to improve the lives of people in Grampian who have a brain injury and their families.
Hepatitis C Action Plan for Scotland
Scottish Government’s action plan to tackle Hepatitis C in Scotland.
Bloodborne Pathogens Strategy
The Bloodborne pathogens strategy is designed to build on existing strategies and policies. It takes account of advances in understanding of the viruses and available standards in prevention, diagnosis, management and care.
Aberdeenshire Learning Disability Strategy
The Aberdeenshire Learning Disability strategy reflects the themes contained within the national review of services for people with learning disabilities “The Same as You”. The needs of adults and children with learning disabilities are integrated into one strategy.
Asperger Consultation Event
Aberdeenshire Council, NHS Grampian and partner organisations held an event for people with Asperger’s Syndrome, their carers and professionals working in the field of autism. People attending commented on existing services and gave input into future service planning priorities. A report was produced summarising feedback from service users on their experiences and views about the services they receive from Aberdeenshire Council and commissioned providers.

Strategy and Action Plan for Improving Sexual Health
A national strategy and action plan for improving sexual health in Scotland. This strategy sets out three main areas for action:
- Promote respect and responsibility
- Prevent sexually transmitted infections and unplanned pregnancy through education,
service provision and support - Provide better sexual health services which are safe, local and appropriate
Improving Sexual Health in Grampian Strategy
A strategy to improve sexual health within Grampian. This strategy is Grampian’s response to the Respect and Responsibility: Strategy and Action Plan for Improving Sexual Health in Scotland.
