Community Mediation

The Aberdeenshire Community Mediation Service is managed by SACRO and funded by Aberdeenshire Council Housing Service and the Community Safety Partnership, meaning that the service is currently offered free of charge to all Aberdeenshire residents, irrespective of housing tenure.

Mediation can help resolve disagreements between neighbours and other groups relating to noise, parking, rubbish, children, pets, fences, damage to property, etc.

The service has been in operation since 2004 and in that time its success rate has increased to 76% of all cases ending in agreement during 2009 / 10.
