Examples of Building Projects Within Banff

In addition to the Small Grants Scheme, the restoration of key historic properties within the Conservation Area which are in poor structural condition is a key priority of the Banff THI. At present, five large-scale building projects are being considered by the Banff THI, including the redevelopment of two gap sites situated in prominent locations which were formerly occupied by Listed Buildings. Only one of these projects, the redevelopment of 2 Old Castlegate, has been completed on site. The remaining projects are still in the early stages or are going through the Planning process.

It is inevitable with such large-scale projects that changes may be made to the original proposals and lengthy time-delays may occur. As such, the following summary of the Building Projects will be updated accordingly throughout period of Banff THI’s involvement.
