Council Tax Benefit

A state benefit to help you pay your Council Tax. You may be able to get Council Tax Benefit if you and your partner (if you have one) are on a low income or you are responsible for paying the Council Tax but there are other adults living with you who are on a low income.

Housing Benefit

A state benefit to help you pay your rent if you are on a low income.
You cannot get Housing Benefit if you own your own home or if you live with and have to pay rent to a close relative. Housing Benefit may not meet the full cost of your rent.

It is possible that you may qualify for both of these types of benefit
