Caravan Parks
We operate 10 caravan parks dotted along our 208 kms of coastline or situated inland in our beautiful countryside. Each park is inspected and quality graded annually by VisitScotland. As part of our Environmental commitment we have Environmental and Responsible Visitor Charters.
As you are aware Aberdeenshire Council took the decision to explore the externalisation of all Council owned and operated caravan parks to a number of established local community groups/trusts. No formal agreement has been reached at this stage with any of the interested groups/trusts. However, as part of this process, the Council has provided information including commercial valuations of the parks and a draft lease framework. The groups have also been advised that they will be required to develop a sound and detailed business case and business plan, which will then be assessed before we can move to the next stage. Various officers from across the Council, covering a number of disciplines have been made available to assist the groups in any way they can. Please see each individual park's page for more details.
On parks where it is available, winter storage of static caravans will be offered during this winter.
