Haughton is ideally situated within a beautiful 40-hectare woodland park on the banks of the River Don recognised as a premier salmon and brown trout river, the Alford fishing beat runs alongside the caravan park. The village of Alford is a short walk away and is a 45 minute drive from the city of Aberdeen. The village facilities include the Alford Valley Railway, the Heritage Centre and the Alford Transport Museum. The village also boasts an indoor swimming pool and dry ski slope along with a variety of shops and restaurants. Alford is also on the castle trail.

Facilities

Six self catering flats are available within the listed Mansion House. The flats are on the first and second floor, due to the number of stairs this accomodation may not be suitable for customers with walking difficulties.

Details of Flats:

• *The bed in flats 1 and 2 is in the sitting room
• **Flats 3 and 4 have one double and one twin room each
• ***Flats 5 and 6 have one double and one single bed in each bedroom
• Reception is on the ground floor as is the games room
• The laundry is on the lower ground floor
• Fishing permits are available to purchase from reception

General Information

• All bedlinen, towels and crockery are provided
• All flats have kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge and television
• In addition flat 5 has a washing machine, flat 6 has a fridge/freezer
• Cots and highchairs available on request

High season (all dates inclusive)- 22nd - 25th April, 29th April - 2nd May, 27th to 30th May, 1st July to 1st September.

Price List 2011

Please note - there will be a 2% surcharge on all payments by credit card, however there will be no surcharge for debit card transactions.

A non returnable deposit of £20 or 25% of the total booking cost (whichever is the greater) will be applied at the time of booking.  Where applicable the deposit will be deducted from the balance due on arrival.  You will be liable for the full cost of the booking if you cancel within 7 calendar days or fail to arrive, refunds will not be offered for circumstances outwith the control of Aberdeenshire Council. 

Customers are strongly advised to ensure they have adequate travel insurance to cover losses due to early departure or cancellation.
