What is the Big IDEA?

The Big IDEA stands for Inclusive Day services - Enabling Aberdeenshire.

 

What is it about?

IThe Big IDEA is about improving day services for adults with disabilities. We want to make sure:

  • everyone gets the service they need
  • people with disabilities are more involved in their local communities
  • people with disabilities are valued members of their communities
  • people are supported to fulfil their potential

 

Can you get involved?

Yes - If you get day services now, or may in the future, or you are a parent carer we want to hear from you. Tell us what you think about services now, and how we can achieve inclusive day services in Aberdeenshire.

There are a series of events planned throughout Aberdeenshire. Events have already been held in Ellon and Inverurie. In the first part of 2012 there will be events in Banchory, Stonehaven, Fraserburgh, Peterhead and Banff. These events are your opportunity to take part - come along, hear more and let us know your views.

We have produced a video to let you know more about the Big IDEA (duration 13.36 minutes). This video will be updated as the consultation continues.
