On June 29th 2007 Kickstart had the privilege to meet Prince Edward who was visiting the Portsoy Boat Festival.
In 2007 Kickstart began a project with the Duke of Edinburgh called Future Horizon's which is a project aimed at 3rd - 4th year pupils who are at risk of exclusion, either through behavioural problems or truncy issues. The project runs for 12 weeks and address issues such as behaviour, team work, social skills, etc.
The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme will award the young people with a Communication Certificate for attending this 12 week project. They can carry on through the adward to achieve their Gold Certificate if they wish.

Kickstart Master Class and Trials Competition
On August 16/17th Kickstart held their first Master Class and Trials Challenge in assocation With Bruce Johnston Offroad.
The two days where a huge success, and all 10 young persons who attended learnt how to maintain a bike, the history of trials biking and also learnt how to ride a bike over more advanved obstacles.
The Challenge was won by Kerr, with second place going to Robert, and third place to Chris.
