Parent & Toddler Groups

Mothers and KidsParent & Toddler Groups provide valuable peer support for parents and the opportunity for parents and their toddlers to socialize in a safe environment. All groups expect a parent or guardian to remain with the child throughout the session and to take responsibility for the safety and well being of that child.

They are generally run by a committee of parents who manage the group and are responsible for fund raising to provide equipment for the group. Some groups have the support of a paid play leader at sessions whilst others are run by the parents themselves.

Your local Community Centre should be able to provide you with information about what’s available in your area. They can also offer advice and support to parents wishing to set up a group in an area where there is currently no group.
