Community School Networks

There are 17 community school networks (CSNs) in Aberdeenshire. Each one covers the school catchment area of each of the 17 secondary schools.

The purpose of the CSN is to provide support to every child in the area to ensure they achieve their potential. As children develop from babies through playgroup/nursery then on to primary, secondary school and college the approach is the same – the development of every child matters.

No one agency can take on this task. The goal can only be achieved if all the relevant people in a child’s world becomes involved. So CSNs involve the child, parents and the relevant agencies active in that young persons life.

CSN members will include health professionals, social work, schools, the voluntary organisations and of course community learning and development staff and volunteers.
