Community Action

From time to time community-based groups take action to make a change on behalf of their community. Community action can happen in many ways and tackle a range of issues from organising a one off demonstration, to building a skate park or highlighting run down areas. It can include delivering a service that no one else is prepared to do.

Community action groups can achieve their goals in a wide variety of ways. Taking action on behalf of your community can appear to be a real challenge. Support is available so don’t let it put you off. Contact your local community learning and development staff.
