Community Engagement

The Scottish Government is committed to developing strong supportive communities and high quality public services.

This aim will only become a reality if local people can have their say and become involved in developing their community. Research shows that there are particular approaches, which stand a greater chance of success in engaging with local people.

The research has been captured in the Standards for Community Engagement. The standards provide clear and consistent guidance for anyone involved in working with communities.
