Scottish Youth Parliament

In Aberdeenshire there are seven members of the Scottish Youth Parliamnet (MSYP) who cover four constitiuences of Banff & Buchan Coast ,Aberdeenshire East, Abderdeenshire West, North Angus & Mearns, they hold local surgeries and organise youth consultations. The role of the MSYP is to represent the views of the other young people, nationally and locally.

MSYP's need to work in their local constituencies, voluntary organisation or where they live, work or study to promote the organisation and consult with young people on relevant issues. They need to be able to put their point of view across and the points of view of their electorate. The Scottish Youth Parliament meets in various locations around Scotland four times a year.
