Where the property is unoccupied due to the resident(s) being in prison, exemption may be granted. If you wish to apply for an exemption, please download and complete the following form:

A 25% discount can be granted when a member of your household has been placed in prison and only one adult remains in the property. If you wish to apply for a discount, please download and complete the following form:

You will be required to provide evidence of your stay in prison, eg a letter from or the name and address of the prison you were held at for the period of your sentence.

Any person(s) on remand/awaiting sentencing, or those who are in prison for non-payment of a fine are not eligible for a discount or exemption.
