Alford Valley Narrow Gauge Railway

The Alford Valley Narrow Gauge Railway runs from the centre of the village to a station within the park during the summer months.

April, May, September - weekends only

During April, May, and September the trains run between 1.30 pm and 4.30 pm at weekends only.

June, July, August - every day

In June the train runs every weekday between 10.30 am and 2.30 pm and Saturday and Sunday between 1.30 pm and 4.30 pm. In July and August the train runs every day between 1.30 pm and 4.30 pm

The return charge is £2.50 for adults and £1 for children. babies in arms free of charge.

The journey is 1 mile each way and a steam engine is used on the first Sunday of each month.
