Local Government Elections 2012
A Local Government Election took place on Thursday, 3 May, 2012, to elect councillors to all 19 wards in the Aberdeenshire Council area, with the votes being counted electronically the following day at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre. Pre-election briefing sessions for candidates and agents took place in Inverurie, Stonehaven, Banff and Aberdeen.
These sessions covered a range of relevant topics for candidates, including the nomination process, election expenses, the role of agents, postal voting and the count. The detailed presentation slides can be viewed here (pdf 76kb).
