Central Heating Programme for the Over 60's

This grant has provision for central heating, insulation and energy advice. To qualify for the grant applicants must own or privately rent their home, be aged over 60 and not currently have a central heating system. There will be no regional discrimination as towns, cities, rural areas and the islands will be targeted simultaneously on a first come first served basis from Selkirk to Shetland. Up to 40,000 installations will take place over the next 4 years.

Warm Deal Grant

This is a grant for insulation measures which is available to applicants in all housing tenures who are in receipt a qualifying benefit. Up to 100,000 installations will take place throughout Scotland during the next 4 years. There are more details about the grant.

Eaga Partnership

Eaga Partnership is a UK leader which manages home energy efficiency programmes. Since its formation in 1990 to run the Home Energy Efficiency Scheme (HEES) across the UK, Eaga has insulated over 300,000 homes in Scotland.

Eaga Scotland was appointed by the Scottish Executive in August 2001 to deliver its five-year Central Heating Programme for pensioners and continue the Warm Deal contract. Both are aimed at eradicating fuel poverty and making people's homes warmer and healthier.

Eaga Partnership also access a plethoria of additional funding. Proposals for Special Project in the area of energy efficiency will be considered from any organisation. Read more about the EAGA Partnership.
