What is Warm Deal?

Warm Deal is a Scottish Executive insulation grant aimed at making homes warmer and more energy efficient during the cold winter months.

It provides up to £500 of insulation measures for people on low income or benefit and pensioners. The full grant offers the following benefits to make homes warmer:

  • Cavity wall insulation
  • Loft insulation
  • Draught-proofing (windows/doors etc)
  • Hot and cold tank and pipe insulation
  • Energy advice and up to four energy efficient lightbulbs

The initiative commits the Scottish Executive to insulating 25,000 homes a year. Eaga has been running the scheme in Scotland since 1999.

To Qualify

You will qualify if you or your partner own or rent your home and receive:

  • Attendance Allowance
  • Council Tax Benefit
  • Disability Living Allowance
  • Family Credit
  • Housing Benefit
  • Income Based Jobseeker's Allowance
  • Income Support
  • Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit (which must include the mobility supplement or Constant Attendance Allowance)
  • Working Families Tax Credit
  • Disabled Persons Tax Credit

Alternatively a lower grant of up to £160 is available towards the cost of materials. Anyone aged 60 or over not in receipt of benefit will receive a grant of up to £78.75.
