Insect Identification

The council offers a free insect identification and advice service. Please bring in a specimen in an airtight container, together with your contact details, to your local Environmental Health office and we will advise you accordingly.

Complaints about Pests

The council has powers under the Prevention of Damage by Pests Act 1949 to ensure that landowners keep their property free from rats and mice or any items that may provide harbourage for them. If you have a complaint of this nature please Contact us for further information.
