The Loo of the Year Awards have been identifying the best 'Away from Home' toilet facilities in the UK since 1987. Our Public Conveniences receive unannounced visits from authorised inspectors and are assessed against a wide range of criteria.

The Awards are run independently and promoted by the British Toilet Association.

The Awards have a simple objective, namely, to encourage the highest possible standards in all types of 'away from home' or public toilets.

All competition entries will receive a grading, ranging from Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum following an unannounced visit by a LOYA Inspector.

Festive Closures

The public toilets will be closed on the following dates:-

  • 25 December
  • 26 December
