Careers Information Points

Aberdeenshire Library and Information Service provide Careers Information Points in all libraries in conjunction with Careers Scotland and Scottish Library and Information Council.

The Careers Information Points keep a range of resources, which vary between libraries, on the following topics:

• Courses and qualifications
• Studying
• University and college prospectuses
• Funding information
• Job information
• Preparing CVs and application forms
• Interview skills
• Working abroad
• Self employment

Use KnowUK to search the following online books in the Courses and Careers category. Aberdeenshire library members will be prompted for the number on their library card if using KnowUK outwith a library.

Using the Internet is free in all libraries giving access to online careers resources. A list of good websites is available in Weblinks.
