Do you need information?

Helping people find information is what we do. Whatever information you need, for whatever purpose, Aberdeenshire Libraries will be able to help you. We provide the following information and more.

• Ask a Librarian. Contact us by email, phone, fax or post and we will look for the answer to your enquiry.
• Local Studies has a large collection of local material including books, maps, newspapers and family history resources.
• Family History Resources are available to help you find out more
• Information is available from an extensive collection of items for reference, including encyclopaedias, dictionaries, online reference databases, poetry, art, literature, science, sport and others.
• Scottish Parliament information - including information on Bills, Acts, Scottish Statutory Instruments, committee reports, official reports, all provided as part of the Scottish Parliament's Partner Library Network.
• European information - provided as part of the European Public Information Centre network.
• Advice Leaflets are available in all libraries and include information on consumer rights, benefits, health, housing etc.
• Careers Information Points are located in all libraries.
• Newspaper articles can be found using our online database UK Newsstand
• Transport information including local bus timetables.
