Keith Charters

| Biography Born in Edinburgh, Scotland. Keith studied Marketing and Law at the University of Strathclyde and should have gained a first class honours degree, but missed out by half a percent, mainly because he was playing snooker when he should have been revising for exams. (Let this be a lesson for all.) Immediately before taking up writing as a career, Keith spent six years in London working for a big, rather strange financial company, where the employees were paid to shout at customers and each other! While working there, he started writing a lot. An awful lot. Soon writing was taking over his life, so he took a deep breath, gave up his 'proper' job and began writing full-time, having decided that was what he really wanted to do with his life. The Lee series is the result. Lee Goes For Gold is the second book in the Lee series, and Keith's almost finished the third, which will be published in 2006. Keith now spends as much time presenting as writing. In the first six months of 2005 alone he presented to 20,000 pupils from 190 different schools throughout the UK and Ireland. He loves doing this. Everyone has a great laugh, while at the same time learning how to make their own writing even better. |
