Holiday Programmes

This page provides details, or a link to details, of all the holiday programmes being offered by Aberdeenshire Council Culture, Sport and Communities.

Learn to Swim & Other Swimming Activities

During most holiday periods the swimming pools and leisure centres will be running various learn to swim sessions and other sessions for the more advanced swimmers i.e. Rookie Lifeguard or Aquasplash. Details are on the web pages for the facility.

Active Aberdeenshire members receive a 50% discount on holiday learn to swim sessions. Swim Aberdeenshire members also receive a 50% discount.

Mobile Climbing Wall, Body Zorbs and Bike Track

During most holidays the Mobile Climbing Wall, Body Zorbs and the new bike track and obstacle course visit several venues across Aberdeenshire holding drop in sessions for all the family.

Easter holiday programme 2017 (pdf 18.6MB)

These are drop in sessions so you can simply turn up and pay for a go. Children remain the responsibility of their adult carers whilst at these activities.

The Climbing Wall is suitable for all ages from 3yrs to adults and the Body Zorbs are suitable for approx 5 yrs to 12 yrs (depending on size and weight).  The bike track is suitable for any age who can confidently ride a bike (we provide the bikes)

In the event of bad weather the activities may not operate. You can phone either the venue or Leisurelend 01467 625088 on the day to check what is operating.

The cost is £3 per go on either Wall or Zorbs or bikes. Each go lasts about 10 minutes. This may vary slightly depending on how busy the session is. Active Aberdeenshire members are free and should arrange to collect their vouchers from their local sports centre or pool in advance and present them on the day.

Call 01467 625088 or emailsportsevents@aberdeenshire.gov.ukfor more information.

Street Sport Football Unit

Come and take part in theses football sessions in the Street Sport arena. No need to be in a team and all abilities welcome. These are drop in sessions for secondary school aged people and above. They are funded by the Community Safety Partnerhsip and so there is no charge to take part. Burn off some energy and have some fun this summer! (in the event of really bad weather the activity may not operate)

Current programme details will be posted here.
