Construction of Aberdeenshire Heritages new headquarters

Following the award of grant-aid funding from HLF the construction of our new headquarters began with the demolition of Aberdeenshire Heritages existing agricultural store in 2002.
A purpose-built storage and workshop facility was to be constructed over the next year.

Foundations for the new workshops were built, and the new structure began to take shape.
The ground floor contained the new agricultural store, fine art store, Education Resource Centre as well as Conservation labs, Photographic studios, Documentation room and the Technicians workshop.

The 1st floor holds the Design Studio and the East and West stores with their massive roller racking storage systems.
