father and sonParents, carers and family members are by far the most important influences on children's lives. After all, between the ages of 5 and 16 children only spend 15% of their time in school! It has been shown that children do better at school and indeed, throughout life when parents (and/or carers and family members) are involved in the child's learning.

This section aims to provide parents and carers with advice and guidance on how they can best promote their child's learning skills and so help them get a great start to life!
