Polhollick Bridge - Ballater

Polhollick Bridge at Ballater is closed pending repair work following Storm Frank. This is part of the Seven Bridges Walk which was also been badly damaged during the storms. There is no alternative crossing point over the River Dee so it will not be possible to do this popular walk as a circular route for the foreseeable future. Please contact Marsaili Aspinall on 01467 537960  for information about public access or Cheryl Roberts on 01467 539462 for information about the repairs.

Cambus O'May Bridge

Cambus O'May Bridge is currently closed following severe damage caused by Storm Frank making it unsafe. Barriers have been erected to prevent access to the bridge. Please heed all warning notices and keep off the potentially dangerous structure. No date has been established for potential repairs to the bridge and it is likely to remain closed for the foreseeable future. For further information please contact Cheryl Roberts on 01467 539462.

Aberdeenshire Coastal Path

Following damage caused by extreme weather, sections of coast path have become difficult, and in some cases dangerous, to use. The council is reviewing the condition of these paths and therefore not currently promoting the Aberdeenshire Coastal Path.

Sandend to Cullen

We have had to close sections of the coastal path between Sandend and Findlater Castle and between Findlater Castle and Sunnyside beach due to landslips. These sections of path will remain closed until further notice. Findlater Castle is still accessible from Barnyards of Findlater car park.
