Local Development Plan

Aberdeenshire Council have reviewed the current Local Plan with a view to replacing it with what will be called a 'Local Development Plan'. The Local Development Plan will provide the local interpretation of national planning guidance, from the Scottish Government, and the Structure Plan for Aberdeen City and Shire.

On 31 March 2011, Aberdeenshire Council submitted the proposed plan and completed schedule 4 forms to the Scottish Government Directorate of Planning and Appeals. Over the period Since May 2011 the Directorate have been considering the information provided by Aberdeenshire Council, have sought clarification on 7 issues and, conducted 10 informal hearings. Current Phase - Examination
