Laurencekirk A2B dial-a-bus

Please note that this service will be withdrawn on 24th April 2010. The last day of service will be Friday 23rd April 2010.

 

Who qualifies for the service?

Anyone. The service is open to the general public. All journeys must be pre-booked by calling the dial-a-bus hotline on 01224 665599.

Where can I go?

A2B dial-a-bus operates a door-to-door service within the areas shown on the map below.  Trips can be made into Laurencekirk from outlying areas, and wholly within Laurencekirk itself.  Connections can be made with trains or other bus services.

You can ask to be picked up anywhere within the service area(s), within the operating hours indicated below. 

For example:

• between 4.30pm and 8.00pm on Mondays to Fridays you can ask to travel from Laurencekirk railway station to Edzell Woods, or from Fourdon to Fettercairn;
• between 9.00am and 10.15am on Tuesdays you can ask to travel from Luthermuir to Laurencekirk Medical Centre;
• between 9.00am and 10.15am on Thursdays you can ask to travel from Garvock crossroads to Laurencekirk railway station.

How much does it cost?

Fares are similar to other local bus services. Entitlement Card holders travel free.
