Aberdeenshire Local Fares

Aberdeenshire Council sets fares on supported Aberdeenshire Local bus services.

The following fare types are available:

• Adult single fares, as specified
• Adult return fares are offered at either 1.5 or 1.8 times the adult single ( rounded up to the nearest 10p). Return tickets are usually valid for 28 days. FInd out how fares are calculated on the service you are interested in using the table below.
• Child single fares, children 5-15 years, inclusive, travel at half the appropriate adult single fare (rounded down to the nearest penny). Accompanied children under 5 years of age travel free, subject to a maximum of two free children per fare paying adult.
• Child return fares are offered at either 1.5 or 1.8 times the child single fare (rounded up to the nearest 5p). Return tickets are usually valid for 28 days. FInd out how fares are calculated on the service you are interested in using the table below.
• Family Return Tickets are offered at 2 times the adult return fare and are valid for either 2 adults and 2 children, or 1 adult and 3 children.
• Concessionary Travel. Free travel is available to those who hold a National Entitlement Card for Scotland-wide free bus travel. A One third discount - available for young people (aged 16 - 18 years) who hold a National Entitlement Card for Young Persons Concessionary Travel.
• Multi Journey Tickets are offered on all services, although types on offer vary.Find out what tickets are available on the service you are interested in using the table below. Contact the operators for any other ticket types they may offer.
• 10-Journey Tickets are offered at 8 times the appropriate adult or child fare. These are valid over a 28 day period. This ticket will benefit people travelling on a regular basis in one direction only.
• 12-Journey Tickets are offered at 10 times the appropriate adult or child fare. These are valid over a 28 day period.
• Weekly Commuter Cards are offered at 7 times the adult single fare and are valid for unlimited journeys on a service for 7 days. Buy your ticket from the driver.
• 4-weekly Commuter Cards are offered at 22 times the adult single fare (if the single fare is less than £3.95), and 19 times the adult single fare (if the single fare is more than £3.95). Buy your ticket from the driver except Stagecoach. Stagecoach 4 weekly tickets can be purchased from Stagecoach Travel Centres and selected local agents.
