Programmes and Activities
Girls Football in all Schools
Freestyle Dance, Ballet, Hockey, Rugby and Fitness at Markethill
Football at Fyvie
Active From the Start
Markethill, Fyvie, Monquhitter have introduced this programme to their Nursery classes. It haswill involved the children working on core competencies during the school day and receiving a ‘Skill Bag’ to take home and perform the activities with their parents.
First clubgolf
All P5 pupils have been introduced to Scottish Golf’s National Strategy for golf, clubgolf. They have completed a block of lessons involving modified golf equipment then invited to attendTurriff Golf Club to undertake the next stage of the programme.
Extra-curricular Schools Clubs
There are currently a variety of extra-curricular school activities for children acrossTurriff to take part in.
Young Leaders
All schools volunteer P6/7 children completed Young Leaders Awards. The skills they were taught in the course will now be developed further as they deliver activities during the school year, to younger children within their schools.
Community Sports Leaders at Turriff Academy, Level 2 Award that enables candidates to independently lead small groups of people in sport and recreational activities
