Startrack Athletics consists of various activities relating to a wide variety of run - jump - throws - relays - teams and individual events. Organised and delivered by Aberdeenshire Council Athletics Development. Qualified UK Athletics Coaches. All participants recieve a Goody Bag. Concessionary rates are available. Activities open for Session booking to Aberdeenshire schools and groups:
Run – Jump & Throwing - Athletics Training Sessions (indoor Sportshall Athletics or outdoor Track and Field Athletics) Sessions aim to develop or improve the skills in a variety of events and a chance to gain individual Personal Best (PB) achievements and Shine Awards.
Sportshall Athletics Festivals – A chance for schools, Groups, Clubs in your area to come together and take part in an exciting event (or individual schools/Groups). School/Group coaching sessions prior to the event will prepare the selected age group/s for the events to be covered at the Festival. A presentation of a Trophy and Medals to winning team as well as Certificates, PB results and Awards to all participants.
Mini Junior Highland Games – Coaching and events to suit all abilities working on a selection of traditional highland games events tossing the caber, putting the stone, weight for distance, tug of war and lots more. Events and sessions aimed towards team and individual achievements while using implements to suit the age and the abilities and most importantly, Fun.
Sports Day – A chance to bring the whole school together and take part as mixed age, boys/girls teams taking part in a wide variety of Athletics Events and Skills. Teams rotating and collecting points as well as having fun and taking part in a selection of Running events (all events being covered by all participant while working in teams).
Cross Country Training – Sessions held outdoors in school/groups sports fields, with after school sessions for all abilities. A chance to prepare your school /groups participants achieve their goals for forthcoming events or just to improve the fitness levels.
Athletics/Sports Fitness – Fitness programs to suit all age groups while helping improve athletics ability. Sessions will help improve level of fitness and aim towards an active life style in youngsters and adults so they have ability to train more efficiently and enjoyably for their desired sports and activities.
Teacher/Coaching Workshops - Training sessions can be organised for staff/volunteers wishing to further their knowledge of events to enable them assist in deliver of athletics sessions within schools and groups. Practical workshops, which aim and offer a basic understanding of events and enable you to gain confidence in assisting and delivery of sessions. Additional workshops can also be organised to cover Norwich Union & UK Athletics “Shine Awards” and also the NEW UKA “Elevating Athletics”. Further opportunities are open towards gaining Scottish & UK Athletics coaching qualifications, so we can all coach safely within schools/groups and offer our participants the best opportunity to achieve their potential.
Aberdeenshire Council Athletics Development Training Sessions, Workshops and Courses are delivered by Qualified Scottish & UK Athletics Tutors and Coaches.
