We aim to improve the quality of life for everyone in Aberdeenshire by working together with partners for the benefit of the Sporting Community.

Who we are

We are part of the Education, Learning and Leisure Service of Aberdeenshire Council

  • Principal Officer (Acting) is Andrew Miller
  • Active Schools Manager is Brian Mitchell
  • Development Officers are Keith Leslie, Fraser Govan and Rachel Boal

We have a team of Sports Specific and Active Lifestyles Officers and a team of Active Schools Coordinators. We also have an army of coaches, leaders and instructors in a wide variety of sports

What we do Monkey Bar

  • We support schools and clubs to increase the range and quality of sports and active lifestyles activities on offer to pupils and clubs
  • We train and mentor coaches and instructors
  • We directly provide activities to our target groups
  • We support talented performers
  • We plan for the development of all aspects of sporting activities
