Aberdeenshire Sports Council are delighted to announce that they are hosting their annual Sports Awards Evening on Friday 23rd March 2012 at The Venue, Garioch Sports Trust, Inverurie. Feedback from previous events has always been very positive. The event is always a popular one as those of you who have attended previously will testify. SMALL PROJECTS FUNDING

Please find attached a presentation that brings together all of the opportunities that are available for small grants for sport from sportscotland.

We are keen that this information gets out to clubs, particularly the quality clubs most in need of funding.

Andy Kelly from sportscotland facilities team is leading on this work and would be happy to come and speak to gathering of clubs about the small projects fund. He would particularly like to speak to sports councils or club forums where number of clubs come together.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT TO ALL AFFILIATED CLUBS

As of 1st April, 2011, the nature of Aberdeenshire Sports Council Grants Awards will be changing in accordance with current National Sporting Priorities. The Grant Awards Categories and the Criteria and Conditions will be overhauled to bring ASC in line with other Regional and National Partners. We would ask for your patience and support during this period of change.  In the meantime, no new Grant Applications will be considered under the current Grant Categories, Criteria and Conditions. UPDATE – RE GRANT CRITERIA & CONDITIONS

Following a special meeting of the Sports Council, it was decided that for the interim period until the AGM, the Grant Awards Categories and the Criteria & Conditions will remain the same, but will be reduced by 50% from 1st April 2011. The AGM will be held on 31st May 2011 at Meldrum Academy from 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm – full details to follow shortly.
