How to make a waste and recycling booking

Our waste and recycling booking system is open for all residents of Aberdeenshire for household waste only. Businesses can sign up to a trade waste collection service or use our business waste drop-off service.

Booking is required at:

• Inverurie and Westhill recycling centres for all vehicles
• All other recycling centres but only for vehicles with trailers and commercial type vehicles with limit on number of visits
• Waste transfer stations for residents disposing of asbestos or tyres

Do not visit without a booking for those sites that still require it as you won't be allowed entry. Some sites allow pedestrian access without a booking.

How to book

You can book up to 7 days in advance. For limited vehicles, bookings are valid for the opening hours of the day booked, and you can visit within 15 minutes of making a booking. Each booking is valid for one visit. At Inverurie and Westhill all vehicles must arrive for their booked 15-minute slot, entry may be refused to anyone arriving at either of these sites outwith the given booking slot.

If you make a booking for a hire van please type in ‘HIRE VAN’ instead of the registration number. Please take your hire documentation with you.

Updating or cancelling your booking

If you need to update your vehicle registration or make any other changes after making a booking, please cancel and make a new one. We are unable to make any changes to the original booking for you.

To cancel your visit, follow the instruction in your booking confirmation email.
