Civil Partnership Ceremony
Once you have decided on a date and venue for your Civil Partnership you should contact the appropriate Registration Office as soon as possible to book the services of a registrar, who will be delighted to offer you any advice or assistance with any apsect of your Civil Partnership. Aberdeenshire Council can offer ceremonies in one of our Registration Offices, an authorised venue or a temporary approved venue.
You will require to complete and submit Civil Partnership Notice Forms (CP10) and an additional information sheet, no more than 3 months and no less than 14 clear days prior to the date of your Civil Partnership. Informaton on further documentation you will have to submit can be found in the leaflet "Registering a Civil Partnership iin Scotland" ( RCP1). A Civil Partnership is purely secular and therefore no religious content is permitted
If you are coming to Scotland for your Civil Partnership and you are subject to immigration control, it is advisable to check the Registrar General's advice to reduce the risk of civil partnership tourists running into visa problems at the ports when they arrive.
