Welcome to the Registrars section.

All Registration offices provide guidance and assistance with all registration matters. The 12 full-time and 3 part-time offices within Aberdeenshire can also help you with arrangements for your ceremony, be it a Marriage, Civil Partnership, Naming or Renewal of Vows.

Some offices also hold Burial Ground records which, combined with the registration records, are a good source of information for the family history researcher. Knowledge of their own area provides an additional wealth of iinformation.

Registrars at our full-time offices have access to the digital images of all Births, Deaths, Marriages, Civil Partnerships, Censuses and Old Parish Records. This allows extracts of these events to be printed at these offices.
