Registrars
Welcome to the Registrars section.
All Registration offices provide guidance and assistance with all registration matters. The 12 full-time and 3 part-time offices within Aberdeenshire can also help you with arrangements for your ceremony, be it a Marriage, Civil Partnership, Naming or Renewal of Vows.
Some offices also hold Burial Ground records which, combined with the registration records, are a good source of information for the family history researcher. Knowledge of their own area provides an additional wealth of iinformation.
Registrars at our full-time offices have access to the digital images of all Scottish Births, Deaths, Marriages and Civil Partnerships. This allows members of the public to purchase extracts of these events. Additionally, copies of Census Records and Old Parish Records can be purchased.
