Pay and Display

The terms and conditions relating to the operation of Pay and Display car parks is detailed in "the Aberdeenshire Council (Off-Street Parking) order, 2011".

These are summarised as follows:

Scale of Charges

The following charges apply Monday – Saturday, 8am – 6pm, except Crathie Car Park and Country Parks. Charges for Country Parks can be found within the information for each park.

Timescale Charge:

  • 0 – 1 hours - 60p
  • 1 – 2 hours - £1.20
  • 2 – 3 hours - £2.00
  • 3 – 10 hours - £5.00

Crathie Car Park Charging Structure

Charges apply 8am-6pm Monday-Sunday (April to October):

  • Vehicle Charge
  • Cars and light goods vehicles £1.50 per visit
  • Buses and coaches £4.00 per visit

Exemption for Disabled Drivers

A disabled person's vehicle, displaying a valid Blue Badge, will be exempt from payment of any parking charge.

Faulty Pay and Display Machines

To report a faulty Pay and Display machine please:

Parking Fines (Excess Charge Notices)

If payment is received within 21 days the amount due is £40. If it is over 21 days the amount rises to £50.
This shall be payable for contravention of the conditions of use applying to the car park (e.g. failure to display a valid ticket, parking outwith a marked bay, etc).

Excess Charge Notice Payment Methods

Payment of Excess Charge Notices can be made using the following method:

  • Pay Parking Fines Online - By credit, or debit card. A 2% surcharge is applied, if using credit card.
  • By Post - Cheques, or postal orders should be made payable to Aberdeenshire Council, please do not send cash through the post.
  • Payment can be made at the Roads Offices detailed on the reverse side of the excess charge notice, or at any of the offices detailed below:
