Information and support may be accessed from the Enquire website. There is lots of practical advice and information about the education and additional support needs system in Scotland. Enquire will explain how the system may relate to your situation and advise you on possible ways forward.

For parents who wish to make a placing request, information is available through the website at the following link: Choosing a school.
In the event that you wish to make a placing request to an out-of authority independent school, please contact the Quality Improvement Manager (Additional Support Needs) on 01224 664886. If a placing request is refused, parents/carers have the right to appeal – please refer to the information leaflet above entitled ‘Resolving disagreements’.
Aberdeenshire council has on occasion and in exceptional circumstances agreed to the placement of children/young people in schools outwith the authority. Further information can be found on our website
