The Haven
Henry Road, Maud
The Haven is situated in the traditional market town of Maud, which is said to mean ‘meeting place’. The scheme is in the very centre of the village and only 300 metres from the Post Office and Railway Museum.
Accommodation
Completed in 1985, The Haven consists of 12 flats and 3 cottages. The flats are a mix of bed-sit type and 1-bedroom properties with all the cottages having one bedroom. All properties are doubled glazed with central heating and have fitted kitchens. The flats are fitted with door entry systems and tenants who feel they may be vulnerable can have their homes linked to the Community Alarm system.
There is a large common room that can be used for chatting with friends or simply meeting up with other residents for a cup of tea or a game of cards. Other entertainment can be organised by the wardens at the request of the tenants. The scheme also includes a lift and communal laundry facilities. There are 2 guestrooms for visitors who wish to stay overnight.
