Festivals

A series of festivals will be taking place through out 2011-2012.  There are hockey, basketball and netball festivals planned to take place at various locations across the central Aberdeenshire.  The festivals have been very popular in the past and we are hoping that this year the turn out will be just as good, or even better!  If you have a particular interest in hockey, basketball or netball and would like to get a team set up in your childs school then please get in touch.  The dates and venues of each festival can be found in the attached leaflets.

Volunteers

We need your help!  Volunteers are one of the key partners in making Active Schools a success.  Active Schools are always looking to recruit school staff, parents, volunteers, senior pupils or anyone who has a little spare time that would like to get involved in helping to provide opportunities for children to become more active within the local community. 

Training Opportunities

The Active Schools central team has produced a training booklet offering a variety of training opportunities for volunteers, coaches and school staff.  If you are interested in leading an after school club or if you are currently leading a session but would like to enhance your skills further then please get in touch to book yourself into one of the training courses.  In return Active Schools will put you through your training and PVG check for free and will give you full support as well as prepare the flyers and registers for your club.
