Dining in Style - Join the Grampian Food Forum at Meldrum House Hotel
The next Grampian Food Forum Dining Club will take place on the 10th May, at the beautiful Meldrum House Hotel & Golf Course. Only a few miles from Aberdeen, this is one of the finest luxury hotels Scotland has to offer. Having recently undergone an extensive refurbishment, the hotel offers high quality, luxurious accommodation as well as beautifully presented conference, meeting and dining facilities.
Arrival drinks will be served in the stables and then guests will be piped to the marquee ballroom. Our speaker for the evening is Christopher Trotter, a well known Scottish chef with over 25 years of experience both in Scotland and internationally, who now runs his own consultancy, Momentum based around quality and innovation.
He is passionate about food, its regional specialities, tradition and heritage, training as a chef in London at the Savoy and the Connaught and then returning to Scotland to run "Scotland's Larder" a restaurant and food shop in Fife "Showcasing the best of Scottish produce".
Christopher will talk us through a selection of cheeses including some local varieties whilst guests will have the opportunity to enjoy some samples from a carefully selected range.
The Grampian Food Forum Dining Club is an initiative aimed at promoting greater use of local produce in the region's hotel and restaurant menus. It provides a forum for hoteliers, restaurateurs and chefs to meet with producers and suppliers to build relationships and explore opportunities to work more closely together.
Cost per ticket: £25
