Leading City Butcher Nominated for Award

Andrew Gordon Butchery & Fine Foods on the city’s Chattan Place has been nominated for the Local Food Heroes awards run by the Good Food Channel. Voting takes place online until August 7th with ten regional winners from around the UK to appear on the channel’s Market Kitchen show and the overall national winner to receive a trophy and £5000.

Andrew took over a well known and long established family-run firm in the city’s West End in 2008 and recently turnover up 50% to £500,000 within his first year at the helm.

Thanks to top quality local produce and events such as in-store “Foodie Nights” the Chattan Place is rapidly forging a reputation as one of the area’s leading food destinations and attracts customers from throughout the city and beyond.
