IHG Recognises Best Performing Hotels in 2009

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) recognised its hotels for their outstanding performance and contribution to the business and their local community in the annual Hotel Stars Awards.

91 winners across 20 award categories were selected from 686 IHG hotels across Europe, Middle East and Africa as one of the best performing staff or hotels in 2009.

Holiday InnHoliday Inn Aberdeen West, owned and operated by Aberdeen based EDC (Hotels) Ltd scooped 2 of the top awards in this year’s finals.

Holiday Inn Aberdeen West, Westhill is one of 39 hotels awarded the 2009 Quality Excellence Awards. The award was accepted by Bill Burnett, General Manager.

The Quality Excellence Award recognises hotels that excel in guest experience and satisfaction.

Holiday Inn Aberdeen West also won the 2009 Food and Beverage Excellence Award, accepted by Bill Burnett, General Manager.

This category recognised one hotel for their commitment to quality, profitability, creativity and concept development within the Food and Beverage arena, ensuring guests are presented with the highest possible levels of service to enhance their experience and satisfaction.
