Aberdeenshire Council recognises the importance of promoting Oil and Gas, Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy .

 

Fishing
The service provides advice on all development issues relevant to the fishing industry.

 

Food and Drink
Aberdeenshire Council recognises the importance of the food industry and its relationships to the traditional industry sectors of farming and fishing.

 

The figures below show the number of VAT businesses and/or registered businesses within Aberdeenshire in 2011 (these are the latest figures produced by the Office of National Statistics).

The figures are divided into the different Industry sectors giving a total of 12,250 businesses in Aberdeenshire.
