Kerbside refuse bag collection service

In places our collection vehicles cannot access, a kerbside refuse bag service is provided instead. Households who do not have a storage area for wheeled bins can also request to use the alternative kerbside refuse bag service. Please call Wasteline on 0845 600 3 900 for more details.

A household may present up to five refuse bags for collection each fortnight at the kerbside on their collection day. Only the blue bags that are allocated by the Council may be used. Any other type of bag put out will not be collected.

Larger households and those with medical needs can apply for additional capacity in the form of extra bags, which may be issued following an assessement. If granted, this will also be subject to a periodic review.
