Refuse and Recycling Collection - Urban

Urban communities in Aberdeenshire, generally those with more than 300 households and within the 30mph speed limits, have an alternate weekly collection of refuse and recycling. Refuse

Refuse is collected from your wheeled bin every fortnight. Some households who do not have storage facilities for a bin may use the kerbside refuse bag collection service on request.

• Alll waste must be contained inside your bin with the lid closed
• Place the bin at the kerbside with the handles facing away from the road
• Put the bin out at the correct time on the morning of collection as shown on the map below

Please be aware that Aberdeenshire Council will only collect one bin per household unless additional capacity has been arranged (call Wasteline on 0845 600 3 900 for details).

Recycling

Recycling is collected from the kerbside every fortnight unless you are in the Weekly Recycling Trial area, usually on alternate weeks to the refuse collection.

You may have as many recycling containers as you need and more are available by calling Wasteline on 0845 600 3 900 or by asking your collection crew who may have a limited stock on their vehicle.

They can be put out side by side or stacked as shown.

The blue paper recycling box is for white paper and thin white or grey card.
