What goes in the food caddy

Your little green food waste caddy should be used for the items in the Yes please list below.

  • Dairy products such as cheese
  • Eggs and egg shells
  • Fruit and vegetables
  • Meat and fish, including bones
  • Pet food
  • Tea bags and coffee grounds

crossNo thanks (please do not put these in your food waste bin):

  • Bottles, cans or jars
  • Foil or clingfilm
  • Food or drink containers
  • Liquids, including oils and fats
  • Packaging
  • Plastic bags

New kitchen caddy liners can be obtained from the collection crew by tying a liner to the handle of the green kerbside caddy when you put it out for collection. They can also be picked up in local libraries and from other collection points (pdf 129KB) around Aberdeenshire.
