Kerbside Recycling in Rural Areas

Please download your Refuse and Recycling Collection calendars from the Waste Aware Grampian guide pages of this website.
Rural Communities are supplied with a Blue-Lidded Paper Recycling Bin (collected every four weeks) and a Recycling Box (NOT collected) that householders can use to store recyclable materials to take to their nearest Recycling Point or Household Waste and Recycling Centre.
Recycling Box - Capacity 55 litres
A Blue-Lidded Paper Recycling Bin will also be provided - Capacity 240 litres
These will be collected every four weeks from the same location as the normal Wheeled Refuse Bin.
Please ensure your Blue Lidded Paper Recycling Bin is put out for collection with the handle facing away from the road and the lid closed.
New Houses:
Residents moving into new households will receive a Blue-Lidded Paper Recycling Bin and a Recycling Box, free of charge.
Moving House:
Householders moving to a property that does not already have a Blue-Lidded Paper Recycling Bin or a Recycling Box, will receive one of each free of charge.
Loss/Damage:
In the case of loss or damage, we will provide a replacement Blue-Lidded Paper Recycling Bin or a Recycling Box, free of charge.
