Light Bulbs
Low energy and fluorescent bulbs (but not 'normal' filament bulbs) can be recycled with other electrical items at a Household Waste & Recycling Centre.
Laptops
Laptops and other computers can be recycled with other electrical items at a Household Waste & Recycling Centre.
Television
TV sets can be recycled with other electrical items at a Household Waste & Recycling Centre.
Books
Curtains can be recycled at a Textile Recycling Point. Please wash textiles and put them in a plastic bag to protect them before putting them in the Recycling Point.
Cushions
Cushions and other soft furnishings can be recycled at a Textile Recycling Point. Please wash textiles and put them in a plastic bag to protect them before putting them in the Recycling Point.

Fruit
Fruit, if it is wasted, can be composted or put in a Green Cone. If you have a food waste collection (currently only in the weekly recycling trial area), it can go in there.
Tissue Boxes
Tissue boxes can go in with your paper recycling if they are white or grey card. If they are brown cardboard, please use a Cardboard Recycling Point instead.
Newspapers
Newspapers can go in with your paper recycling. They will be used to make newsprint.
Cans
Drinks cans and food cans can be recycled together. Please empty and rinse out.
